Caleb Lou, a 17-year-old Senior attending Hall High School, is ready to report on news ranging from our school to current events in our world.

Q: What is something you are passionate about?

A: I think the main thing I'm most passionate about is music and volleyball.  I started playing the violin when I was 4 years old, and I've kept learning since.

I spend lots of time in rehearsals but also just listening to music in general.  Also, I am currently playing volleyball for Hall on the varsity team, I love the sport and the community.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: My favorite subject in school probably has been more in STEM, I like to get hands-on with learning, and the straightforward concepts stick better to me.

Q: Why did you decide to take this journalism class?

I think that it's important to “stay informed” and keep up with everything going on throughout the world. And if we didn't have journalism we wouldn't be able to learn about important topics in the world, especially with new and important current events popping into the news on a daily occasion

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?

A: At the moment I’m not too sure, I’m still in the process of deciding. I definitely want to go into a more business-oriented job as I like to talk to and meet new people.

Q: what do you want to major in when you attend college?

A: Right now I’m planning on applying for an Information Systems major, it’s a mix of business management and computer science. The computer science aspect allows people to get jobs easily but the business management aspect allows me to be more social and I will get to spend more time in cooperative work.

Q: How can this course prepare you for the major you wish to pursue?

I think it will definitely help me learn to communicate with people within that industry especially if I want to do anything business related it requires a lot of communication skills as well as staying informed about things within the industry. But also I think this class will prepare me to have a more realistic view of the current world and the realities of the condition we are in.
