As a 2023 senior, Elizabeth enjoys living her life as a teen: playing sports, spending time with friends, following trends. Her focus in the Hall Record lies to that of which interests the student body most.

Q: What are your plans after graduating high school?

A: I'm going to go to college down south and major in exercise science; eventually I’ll go into the occupational therapy field.

Q: Who has had the greatest impact on your life?

A: Probably my sister: she's always been who I've looked up to. We weren't really that close, but we’ve gotten closer. With her now being so far away…I don't know, she kind of keeps me where I am. I'm glad I can always look up to her.

Q: Which classes have you taken that have assisted in journalism?

A: 9th and 10th grade English, but last year I took a class which did a lot of reading and writing of more interesting pieces—American Literature. We read a lot of things by published journalists, and I was able to write some similar stuff.

Q: Why is it important to be a strong writer?

A: You want people to be informed and get the right idea about things. If you're a strong writer, then it makes it more  interesting and engaging for people to read. You want readers to stay engaged by being a good journalist, even if you put something out there that’s not your best work.

Q: What topics do you plan to write in the Hall Record?

A: Probably something fun for the school; definitely stuff I would enjoy writing like engaging activities, sports, or trendy pieces. I wouldn't do political pieces—don't have a big interest in that, you know?
