Gabriel Rooney is a dedicated student and one of our newest staff members at Hall Record. He enjoys playing video games and reading up on history in his free time. He came to improve his own writing ability through the medium of journalism.
Q: How would you describe yourself as a person?
A: I would describe myself as scrupulous and dedicated. I'm willing to spend as much time as I need to on anything to make sure I get it done and on time. I also try to dedicate myself to my personal family by being helpful in anyway I can to them. I love my family because there are so few things in this world that we can rely on, but family is the one thing I will always have to fall back on.
Q: Where do you get your news from?
A: The AP, maybe the late night talk show once in awhile. The New York Times, and probably CNN because they’re fast paced.
Q: Why did you decide to take journalism?
A: I wanted to prove my ability as a writer. Writing is something I want to evolve and be good at. This class just kind of feels right for me.
Q: How do you plan on using journalism to make hall a better place?
A: Being able to inform people and keep them aware is a service in it of itself and valuable to how we communicate and make decisions.
