Ian Waddington is a Hall High School senior taking Contemporary Journalism. Ian has an interest in the future of Bioengineering and hopes to pursue a career in the field. Ian is hoping to learn more about discerning real vs fake news, and practicing keeping bias out of his own journalistic endeavors. 

Tagh- Are you capable of keeping opinions and bias separate from your journalistic duties?

Ian – “I’d like to think I can, however I know it’s something that most people don’t know that they’re doing when they’re doing it. I feel like it’s something that will take time and practice to learn to separate but, I think I’m alright at it now, although it’s hard to really know.”

Tagh- How do you plan on going about bringing awareness to important things?

Ian- “I could talk about it with my friends, I could talk about it with people I care about, and then also using the platform of Hall record I could publish stories on it.”
