You may recognize up-and-coming journalist Jade Hunter from her days as a Hall High cheerleader, or seen her younger sister enter as a freshman this year, but not all have had the pleasure of meeting her. Born on August 19 2002, Jade is a 17-year-old senior at Hall High School who has lived in West Hartford her whole life. Jade is no stranger to the Hall community and can often be seen at football games, hanging out with friends, or listening to some of her favorite musicians, like Drake and Chris Brown. Others would describe her as a caring friend, which makes her dream career as a nurse perfectly fitting. When asked about her interest in nursing, Jade mentioned that she “really likes working with kids and many of her family members are nurses.” She further adds, “people will always need medical care, so that job will always be open.” Jade plans on going to college on the east coast next fall to fulfill her passion as a nursing major.

Jade was introduced to Journalism after a scheduling mix-up and soon realized that she “really likes it.” When listing her writing interests she mentioned natural disasters, medical topics, and viruses. Her dream of becoming a nurse has fueled her interest in learning, researching, and writing about various medical topics.  For Jade, her writing interests and future career path complement each other perfectly.
