Jeremiah Cao
Jeremiah Cao, a senior at Hall High School, and aspiring to go into Nursing, feels that writing about current events is a way to speak his thoughts on certain subjects.
Q: What are you thinking about doing after school?
A: I’m going to go into college for nursing or business.
Q: Do you prefer to write fiction or nonfiction?
A: I think it depends on what the assignment is, or if I’m just doing it in my free time I’ll write fiction. But if there’s a good current event going on, then non-fiction.
Q: How has writing affected your life?
A: In terms of reading it or writing it?
Q: Both.
A: So, for reading it helps me open up my mind and just think more about what’s going on; whereas with writing it, it’s doing the same thing but putting it out there and influencing other people, and a way of [bringing] out my thoughts as well.
Q: Do you have any role models in your life?
A: Probably my mom. She had me at a very young age, and what she has done for me over the past 18 years has always been exceptional to me.
Q: How do you want to be remembered?
A: I don’t really care about being remembered, maybe just for doing my own thing, nothing extremely important.
