Lana Ghamo, a senior an Hall High School; has an interest in politics, taking care of others, and learning about different cultures. She is excited to dive into the world of journalism and inspire others.

Q: Why did you take journalism?
A: I’ve always been interested in current events and I think it’d be exciting to write about politics and different ongoing issues.
Q: What motivates you to write?
A: Writing comes really natural to me, since I was little I would write stories from my imagination.
Q: Who is one of your biggest influences?
A: Probably my dad. He came to the U.S from Italy with nothing and has become a successful business man as well as a community leader. Coming from an immigrant family, I’ve always been interested in learning about different backgrounds.
Q: How will journalism help with your future?
A: I think journalism will help me gain a voice when it comes to politics and other controversial topics.
Q: What do you do outside of school?
A: I work at an after school program at Aiken Elementary School, where I take care of children ages 5 to 11.
