Matt Glassman, 18, is a senior at Hall High School, and is eager to learn from his experiences and use his journalism skills later in life.  He plans to attend Roger Williams University after high school and play tennis there.

Q: What do you do in your free time?

A: In my free time I enjoy playing tennis, working out, and hanging with friends.

Q: What are your plans after high school?

A: After high school, I plan to go to college. I will be continuing my education and tennis career at Roger Williams University.

Q: Do you see journalism in your future? If not, what do you see as a future career?

A: I don’t see it as a job or a career, but it will definitely help me in the future with my interviewing and writing skills. I’m thinking about going into business, maybe accounting or finance.

Q: How do you think journalism is relevant in today’s society?

A: Journalism is seen all over in the sports world, and news. It is relevant today because it gives prevailing and important news and information to the public.

Q: What experience are you hoping to gain from practicing journalism?

A: It will help me with my interviewing skills for college and job interviews.  From practicing journalism, I hope to become a better writer and just learn and gain more knowledge from taking the class.
