Bathrooms are closing because of the harmful vandalism that is in them. Students need to find bathrooms that are open, causing them to lose class time.

There has been a growth of vandalism in the school bathrooms over the recent years. The vandals have written numerous harmful statements on the stall doors including racist slurs, statements targeting the LGBTQ+ community, and misogynistic comments. Authority members have been closing bathrooms to students due to the vandalism, forcing them to spend time searching for the closest open one. Although there have been announcements regarding the vandalism, the school faculty has done very little to find who is responsible for the damage. Sign out sheets have been placed in each classroom for students to use in order to use the bathroom, but to what extent does that do for the Hall Community? As bathrooms continue to close, students will need to take responsibility for their negative impact in the school’s environment.
