Connecticut Boys Take Over the New England Track and Field Championships

Not too long ago on March 4th, The New England Track and Field Championships came around the corner up in Boston, Massachusetts. The Connecticut boys were putting on an absolute show for the audience. The senior from Simsbury High School, Noble Gongon made a statement in the Boys 55m Dash. While placing 7th in the prelims, he found himself a spot in the finals and wanted to finish 1st, which he most certainly did—running a 6.47 to beat 4 other guys by a margin of .04 seconds and celebrating a New England Championship victory. Hall High School competitors Gabe Sisk and Jon York battled it out for the 600m. Gabe finished 2nd breaking the school record, and Jon placed third .04 seconds behind him. Then Isaac Mahler sneaked in a 6th-place finish by a second to receive All-New England Honors in the 2 Mile with a time of 9:28.72.
