My generation may be ruled by phones and screens and all other sorts of technological distractions, but deep down there’s always a will to explore and learn new things. Personally I find that learning about systems and working on physical components is the best way to learn things, and I could say the same for the large majority of kids my age. Even though phones are distracting it does not mean we are incapable of hard work and learning new things. I vouch for kids my age to learn how to work on things for themselves, as from what i’ve learned the more experience you have the more prepared you are for the unexpected. Not knowing how to fix things in a car or do regular maintenance makes you vulnerable, and it’s not hard to take the time and learn how things really work.

Phones aren’t the only thing that are hands on.
In this photo, two students can be seen taking apart the brakes on a car with simple tools at home. Even though these days most teens would leave their parents to take care of their cars maintenance, some kids out there still do it themselves!
