How to find the right job

Let’s face it, you’ve been looking for a job for months or maybe even years and still can’t seem to find the right one or just can’t find one at all. Well look no farther; i’m going to tell you some easy ways to get your first job. Let’s start off with the basics. What are you most interested in? This can be anything your heart desires. For example if you want to help save animals then you should look into being a veterinarian. If you like working with cars then you should look into being a mechanic, and so on. I can tell you right now; you’re not going to like your first job. You might be so happy to start making money and being able to say to friends “Hey, I have a job!” But trust me you will regret getting a job. I have been working at a restaurant for more than a year and I just quit not to long ago. Washing dishes is not as easy as it sounds. Picture yourself standing over a sink for seven hours scrubbing at pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc… It almost feels like the dishes never end; you look away for one second thinking you’re done then you turn back around just to see stacks of pans waiting for you.

Finding your first job can be tricky because most employers are looking for people with experience. If you’re below the age of sixteen then good luck trying to find a job. Most employers want to have workers above a certain age. Even at sixteen it’s hard to find a job. You need to look for something small like being a sales associate or a bus boy. If you’re trying to find a job that requires a certain skill or just a really important job, most employers won’t even think about putting you in that position. Strive for the jobs most people don’t want. Like my job for example.

Here comes the interview. You want to look sharp with a fresh haircut, a nice jacket, maybe some dress shoes and a tie. Employers are really looking for a well put together individual who looks like they know what they are doing. If you go in to your interview dressing the way you do at school, then don’t be surprised not getting a phone call back saying you’ve got job.

In conclusion, the type of jobs you want to look for are simple jobs that people don’t really want to do. People are always looking for jobs so don’t be surprised if the first job you apply to doesn’t hire you. If I was applying to jobs; I would get as many applications as possible in one day and fill out all of them.
