Be in the Moment

Albert Einstein once said “I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots.” Nature is a beautiful thing. In today’s society, humans are so involved in their phones that they don’t take a moment and watch what is right in front of them. Nature and wildlife are ignored because society decided that our phones are more important than the world around us. In the first picture, there was a beautiful firework display being put on by the town of York, Maine. There were girls in the front on their phones and not even paying attention. To them, the cool picture their friend just posted or their snapchat was more important than being in the moment and watching the eye catching view. The second picture was taken on a dirt road in the fall, where the leaves are changing color. The trees hone in on the older couple taking a walk with their family. It is so rare for people to just spend time together, take a walk, enjoy the view. The last picture shows what we can see when we open our eyes. Sunsets are one of the most picturesque times of day yet most people don’t pay attention. If they do, it is a quick look and they carry on with their day. The world has so many natural beautiful sightings that no one notices anymore. When we stop what we are doing, put the phone down, and really watch what is going on around us, the world can be seen in a whole new light.
