As We Grow Up, We Start Having More Responsibilities and More Stress

As children, the only thing we think about is going outside to play, grasping onto cones with heaping scoops of ice cream, eating them one after the other. Truthfully, as youngsters, our focus is on having as much fun as possible. There is no need to think about the responsibilities of paying bills and other things. All that is prevalent in our thoughts are fantasies of things like unicorns and rainbows.

When we are in our teens, that’s when we start having more responsibilities, but we can still go out, hang out with friends, go on long road trips, and do other activities. Yes, we still have school, and some of us are now working, but we still have some time for ourselves.

Once we become adults, we have to work every day.  No longer do we have shifts just once or twice a week, our job is an everyday thing. Adults have to pay bills, buy groceries, take care of the family, bring their kids to school; it is a lot of responsibility and they are more stressed-out than ever before.

Next time you feel stressed and feel like you have a lot going on, take time for yourself.  It will be worth it.
