Due to the pandemic, students are now receiving lunch for free. While this is a beneficial policy for the students, most people don’t realize the waste that comes with it. Everyday kids line up to get their lunches, and since they are of no cost, they will take a bite or two and toss it into the garbage. Many students will even get multiple lunches throughout the day, and still waste more than half. Walking through the cafeteria, tables full of uneaten food can be seen everywhere. Bees have even started swarming around the outside of the cafeteria due to the sheer amount of leftover food that is sitting everywhere.
