Brigid Bernoski is a strong and intellectually curious teen who has developed self-confidence through her various activities and is proud of advocating for others and herself.
Q: What is one word that best describes you?
A: I think I’m pretty determined. I try to keep very busy, with a good balance of friends, music, and sports. Sometimes when I am challenged in certain classes, I push myself hard to ask different questions and seek help because I am determined to succeed.
Q: What do you hope to be doing in 5 years?
A: I hope to be doing something business-related whether that be working for a corporation in some kind of analytical role, or in marketing.
Q: Who inspired you to become the person you are today?
A: The most influential figure in my life is my mom. My mom is a teacher and basketball coach who is always working hard to better the lives of her students and get to know them on a more personal level. She's a great example of how I want to act towards others: with compassion and kindness.
Q: Why did you take journalism, and what do you hope to get out of it?
A: I took journalism because I wanted to get more comfortable sharing my writing. Publishing my writing is always a very nerve-wracking experience, so I enrolled in this class to gain more confidence for my future business career.
