Jack Barter, a computer science expert, speaks on journalism as a whole in hopes of shedding light on his perspective of the world.

Q: What are your thoughts on journalism as a whole?

A: I... see journalism as a very sensitive part of the media, [one] that has to be regulated well to be used properly. So being able to learn about it is vital.

Q: What are your passions?

A: I’m passionate about programming. I do a lot of that outside of school; anything that has to do with technology. I’m a captain for the Robotics club, so I like to get involved in that way.

Q: How would your friends describe you?

A: I would like to think that my friends would describe me as understanding and reliable.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

A: In 10 years, hopefully, I'll have graduated by then with a master's in computer science and [be] employed by some sort of tech business.

Q: What are your thoughts on the current stage of the world right now?

A: My current thoughts on the world [are] that we’re probably more divided in the world right now historically, so I think, politically, we are in a pretty poor state. And because of those differences, it’s causing a lot of conflicts.
