Jared Malkin is a senior varsity athlete who plays football and lacrosse. He wants to learn more about journalism, news and write about topics like pop culture and sports. 

• Who’s your biggest influence in your life? What you do in your free time? I would say probably my parents influence me a lot. In my free time I play sports like football and lacrosse. I also like to hanging out with my friends. 
• Why do you like journalism and what do you know about journalism? I like the fact that there is creative aspects of writing in journalism different from other writing. 
• What stories do you look in news? I guess kind of like pop culture and things that are going on that are relevant to me but usually I look for everything to know what going on around me. 
• What do you hope to learn for this class? I hope to learn to write without any bias because I feel like I’m a strong minded person.
•  How would you handle writing about something you don’t know or you disagree with? I wouldn’t use any bias, and I would just write straight from facts really. 
• What problems do you think we have to involved in Hall? I think it depends who you ask, I would say it kind of depend on the person like for me it’s probably bathrooms and getting detention.
