Matt LaBreck is a Hall High School senior and a varsity athlete who is interested in writing about sports.

Q: Who inspires you, or what inspires you?

A; my grandpa inspires me. So he actually, he passed away in 2022, and he was such a touching person to his community. He did a lot of community service stuff. He was like the president of his church program. So I just tried to be like him. He was such a touching person in his town, and he did so much to give back to the community.

Q: what news do you watch and listen to?there anything your grandpa particularly liked that you might have watched with him?

A: Sports-wise, he was and I’m a big Philadelphia Eagles fan for football, and he was a huge Eagles fan. He had season tickets for almost 40 years.

Q: Where do you get your news?

A: mainly sports articles, and normally I get them from like Instagram. I’ll see them on Instagram, I’ll like a post, and I’ll do like the full article link.

Q: Why did you choose to take this class?

A: I’m really into sports, and I know sports journalism is a very big thing in this current day and age

Q: What sports do you play?

A: I play football and baseball.

Q: Would you write about sports at school?

I could write about this years baseball team. We’re supposed to have a good year this year. We have a lot of really good players. Yeah, last year we went 15-5, which is like a really good record. Last year we made it to the CCC Championship and lost, so we have high expectations for this year.
