Q: Who are you?

A: I am Liora Silverman and I am 16 years old.

Q: Do you have any goals for the future?

A: Yes, I'm planning on going to college and graduating, but I'm not sure what I'm going to major in yet.

Q: How did the pandemic and quarantine affect you and your goals?

A: The pandemic and quarantine definitely got in the way of my daily life and especially got in the way of finishing my junior year. It was difficult not being able to see my friends and family as often as I normally would have.

Q: Why did you choose to take journalism this year?

A: I chose to take journalism because I think it is important for our community at Hall to know about what is going on. Outside of Hall, I think journalism is important because it tells us the news that we don't hear from other news sources and it is essential for our society to be informed on what is going on in our world.

Q: Why are you interested in taking journalism?

A: I feel like knowing the inner workings of the media will help me later on in life and I also think it will improve my writing skills overall.
