Breaking news broke out of Paris, France on Sunday, October 19. A story of an intriguing Heist at the Louvre Museum. Many questions were raised with what was such a mysterious and seamless case to the public. More and more inquiries came about on the internet shortly following, but a major question was raised. Do heists really hold any value to the regular person in today's da,y and age? Specifically, do heists hold any impact enough to care about?
“Four masked thieves stole eight pieces of jewelry…” Says Mason Leath of NBC, “…valued at $102 million, sparking a national outcry and nationwide manhunt.” Still to date, no jewels have been recovered. However, even with over $100 million being taken, “I just don’t think it matters” says West Hartford resident Jim Shepherd. Shepherd hasn't been the only one with similar opinions as we found most adults truly don't care about this.
When interviewing Bill Suleiman of Windsor, he proclaimed “no effect” on him. In contrast, 12 students at Hall High School were asked the same exact question, the data showed 85% actually knew about the heist initially. And 93% shared they believe it's an important piece of media. These answers widely vary between the people interviewed ranging from 16-45 years of age.
