In 2026, many think that real adventures have been abandoned. Within screens, one can go to any country, any planet, and even fantastical lands. However, these “trips” are not the same as truly traveling. When one plans, packs, and takes passage, one performs a perfect pastime — exploration.
As a teen in 2026, I am one of the less adventurous of my generation. I stick to campgrounds and New York for the most part. While I don’t travel often, when I do I create memories that will last the rest of my life. While touring areas, I appreciate so many things in the world around me. I find building shapes unique, wild animals engaging, sounds glorious, and food delicious.
Every trip is so different, and I remember them fondly. Even though screens beckon to come closer, I know that they are nothing compared to the real world.
